Dr. Anubhav Sinha

I am an Assistant Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi, India. 

 

I also serve as a subject expert in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) panel on setting up standards for Hydrogen applications in India. I have previously worked in a similar panel in the EU For European standards. 
 

My research is in the broad domain of Combustion and Spray, mainly focusing on Hydrogen applications and safety, Gas turbine fuel injection, and flame stabilization.

I conduct fundamental experiments to understand the physical processes involved. I further use Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as a complementary tool to experiments. I have recently started developing theoretical models, which help understand and interpret experimental and computational results.

I have rich industrial experience in Aviation and Automobile sectors. That helps me to understand the needs and challenges faced by industries. I work on developing more efficient and less polluting energy solutions.
